Jade Idzerda

Legal Assistant

Jade Idzerda is a Legal Assistant at Insight Law Professional Corporation.
Jade earned her LL.B. (Honours) from the University of Sussex and holds an Honours B.A. in Political Science from Wilfrid Laurier University. Jade has successfully completed her National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) exams and is beginning her legal career in Ontario with a strong interest in Real Estate. She completed the Mortgage Agent licensing program through Real Estate and Mortgage Institute of Canada (REMIC), bringing practical experience in the mortgage industry to her legal work.

During her undergraduate degree and throughout law school, Jade participated in several moot and advocacy competitions, which helped her develop strong oral advocacy, legal research, and communication skills. She also served as a judge in national Canadian undergraduate moot competitions while in law school, further strengthening her analytical and evaluative abilities within an advocacy context. She also gained practical legal experience working in two migration-focused legal settings, including the University of Sussex Migration Law Clinic and Voices in Exile. In these roles, she assisted clients with immigration and refugee matters, conducted legal research, prepared legal documents, and supported clients through complex legal processes. These experiences strengthened her passion for advocacy and client-centered legal support.

Outside of the legal field, Jade enjoys travelling, playing volleyball, and spending time outdoors. She values staying active and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
